William T. Bolton House by Greene and Greene

The William T. Bolton House was built in 1906 by Charles and Henry Greene. The house has its beams exposed and the wooden front door is oiled to make the natural colour of the door shine. The furniture and the stained glass windows were also designed by the Greene’s. The house was constructed in Pasadena’s “Millionaire Row” district. Also in 1908, the house was put on the National Register of Historic Places. Unfortunately, Bolton was unable to live in the house due to his passing before it was finished. I like how the house has its features exposed like the beams, it gives the house a unique feature. I also like how the door was oiled to show the true and vibrant colours of the wood used.
