Parque de Bombas, Ponce, Puerto Rico

In my recent trip to Puerto Rico, I came across El Parque de Bombas located in Ponce, Puerto Rico. El Parque de las Bombas was a historic fire station and are one of Puerto Rico’s most notable buildings. It was originally built in 1882 as a pavilion for an exhibition, but it became Puerto Rico’s first-ever fire station. The building is two stories with a tower at each corner. When speaking in terms of structure, it is a wooden frame with a roof of zinc sheets. The most iconic and admirable part of this building is the bold red and black. It instantly draws your attention to it. It was a great place to visit and learn about Puerto Rico.
