WilkinsonEyre Living Bridge Limerick, Ireland

I couldn’t not write about this bridge. I find this project to be so unique and strange. Those are my favorite aspects in any architectural project. The Living Bridge is unique to me because it looks like the bridge is almost flipped upside down. The design goal for the bridge was for it to flow smoothing through the environment as the whole bridge is environmentally friendly. At night, the bottom side of the bridge lights up to display the beauty of the bridge during every hour of the day.

WilkinsonEyre Gateshead Millennium Bridge Gateshead, UK

The Gateshead Bridge in Gateshead, Uk, is a magnificent piece of artwork. It is used as a walking and biking bridge for locals. As shown in the photo, the bridge shows its full potential at night. The entire bridge is lined with lights and even on the arch itself. While it is hard to tell in this photo, thanks to the architects responsible, but this bridge actually extends upwards as well to provide access for boaters to pass underneath.

WilkinsonEyre Olympic Basketball Arena London, UK

This is the official olympic basketball arena located in London, UK. I chose this project mostly because of its unique architectural design of the outer walls. The pattern is quite aesthetically pleasing to look at and almost looks like it could have a soft/foaming feel to it. The design and style of the building is very interesting and also has a very clean look with the white finish.

The Golden Arch Mcdonalds (Vinita, OK)

This Mcdonalds is not like most ordinary Mcdonalds. At one point in its life, this was the largest Mcdonalds in existence. It is located close to the Oklahoma and Missouri border in Vinita, Oklahoma. This is an important building for me because of the memories it brings. The only time we would ever go to this Mcdonalds when I was young was if we were going to our family cabin in Branson, Missouri because it was on the way. It was also really cool to go to as a kid. This was during some of the best times of my life and once we made it to that McDonalds we knew we were getting close.

First United Methodist Church (Broken Arrow, OK)

This is my home church in Broken Arrow, Ok. I started going to this church basically right when I was born and was a member all through high school. I even go back to this church when I go back home to see my family. This building is very important to me because of the memories I made here and the lifelong friends I have now because of it. I have always been fascinated by the architecture of the building because it has been through many renovations but still has a traditional and almost “old” feel to it. But the interior is very modern and new.

Neinhuis Park (Broken Arrow, OK)

Broken Arrow is actually the suburb of Tulsa that I lived in for the younger years of my childhood. I lived in a neighborhood that had a community center across the street that I liked to go to for fun with my friends. Neinhuis Park also has a pool and a nice indoor basketball court. These were great amenities to have close to my house as a kid. This was the first big project that I witnessed get built as a kid. After the grand opening, the whole community of Broken Arrow gathered together to enjoy the new space. I will always remember this place because it was located directly across the street from where I lived.

The BOK Center (Tulsa, OK)

200 South Denver Ave W, Tulsa, OK

I was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Up until I was 10 years old, Tulsa never really had a structure or event center that made it stand out from other big cities in the country. This building actually means a lot to me because I was able to grow up seeing the city of Tulsa grow and become more popular simply because of an event center. The BOK Center is very unique for its design and structure. The architecture of the building is so impressive with its curves and endless looking lines.Image result for bok center
